This man tried to bill his wife for all the times he had to put up with her "disruptive" mother! Now, there's plenty of us who have had to deal with a monster-in-law, but this guy took it to a new level in family court when he tried to get reimbursed for having to put up with her!
The gentleman told the court his mother-in-law broke multiple boundaries while staying with the couple.
His wife's mother:
- Rearranged all his socks, underwear, and t-shirts.
- Came into the en-suite while he was getting out of the shower.
- Burst into the room and yelled if the TV was on too late.
- Ripped out $900 worth of landscaping that did not appeal to her
- Came into the bedroom in her underwear when he and his wife were still in bed!
Which one of these would drive you the craziest? Do you have a mother-in-law story even worse than these?
The woman had been staying with them on and off for the past couple of years and more recently, has remained there since last June. The man said he would've been fine if she came to visit 3 or 4 times a year, but he did not agree for her to basically live with them and take over!
He also left this statement with the court:
“The thing is she is a guest in my house. She cannot — I’m sorry — she cannot be allowed to raise her voice at me and tell me what I can watch and can’t watch on television. I am sorry — well, if she can do that, there then is something awfully wrong with our society.”
There is no decision on whether or not the court will let him bill his wife, more than likely it will fall through, but we can't blame the guy for trying!
