Poll: Most Americans Don't Want To Defund Police

While attitudes towards police officers are shifting, few Americans want to defund the police, according to a new survey.

A Pew Research Center poll found that just 25% of people wanted to decrease police funding.

42% wanted funding to remain the same, while 31% said it should be increased.

However, public opinion towards police officers was less favorable than in recent years.

Two-thirds of people opposed 'qualified immunity' for officers, which protects them from being sued for misconduct.
