The Florida Panthers continued their efforts to honor Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Sunday night by unveiling a memorial in their 'Den of Honor' at the BB&T Center prior to their game with the Montreal Canadiens.
The Memorial includes MSD Strong letters with 17 simulated candles to honor the number of students, teachers and coaches who lost their lives in the tragic school shooting last February. Pictures of all 17 victims are also included in the memorial.
Family members of some of the MSD victims were on hand for a pregame ceremony prior to game, appreciative that the memory of their loved ones are being honored by the team in Sunrise, just down the street from Parkland, where the tragedy took place.
"To know that our loved ones are among Panthers rotalty forever is unbelievable," said Fred Guttenberg after the ceremony, who's 14-year old daughter lost her life at MSD. "The Panthers wanted to show our families that they love us, they support us, that they support our community."
