Miami Marlins Win 1st Series of Season

It only took 7 series and almost a full month, but your Miami Marlins have finally won their first series of the season.

After Caleb Smith's great start that led to a win against the Nationals on Friday, the Marlins let go of their Hitting coach,Mike Pagliarulo. The Marlins started the season near the bottom of every offensive category in MLB. Jeff Livesey will be the Interim Hitting Coach until a replacement can be found.

The Marlins came out hitting on Saturday with 9 runs with big plays by Miguel Rojas, Brian Anderson, and Curtis Granderson. Jose Urena pitched well again, after a slow start to the season, to secure their 1st series win of 2019.

The Marlins failed to finish the sweep on Saturday, but Trevor Richard had a solid start just couldn't get the bat on the ball with only 3 hits for the entire game. Hopefully with the shake-up in the clubhouse, The Marlins get back on track and put together a few more wins going into May.
