Marlins Start 6 Game Road Trip Fresh off of Sweeping the Mets

The Marlins just finished a dominating sweep of the New York Mets, Shutting them out 2 out of 3 games played over the Weekend in Marlins Park. Trevor Richards, Pablo Lopez, and Sandy Alcantara out pitched Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz, and Noah Syndergaard, which might be considered the best starting staff in the Major Leagues.

Today the Marlins face off the Detroit Tigers to start a 6 game road trip. Marlin's Ace Caleb Smith takes the mound against Spencer Turnbull, another young arm. Urena and Richards to take the mound in games 2 and 3. The Tigers are losers of 6 striaght games, and have a worse run differencial than the marlins as well. Marlins should be favorites to win the series at this point.

After the Tigers, The Marlins head to Washington for a 4 game series to face the struggling Nationals during Memorial Day Weekend. If the Marlins play well and support the young pitching staff, by weekend's end the Marlins could be out of last place in the NL East.
