Marlins Win Final Home Game of 2019 Season With A Big 7th Inning


The Marlins won their last home game of the 2019 season after a 4 run 7th inning against the World Series contender Nationals. John Berti, Austin Dean, and Starlin Castro all contributed in the big inning erasing a 3-1 deficit late in the game. The Nationals in the middle of a playoff chase can use any Win at this point but then young Fish weren't to be denied. The Marlins Bullpen also stepped up with 4 no-hit innings to close the game and secure the win.

After a 100+ lose season, the Marlins Future looks bright with a top 10 farm system and some studs already in the Majors. The Marlins also locked Don Mattingly and veteran SS Miguel Rojas with affordable deals for another 2 years keep some continuity within the clubhouse. The Marlins now travel to New York to face the Met for 3 games, then to Philadelphia to finish off the the 2019 season.
