A Look into the 2020 Marlins and Possible New Faces.

The Marlins struggled much of 2019 with a few bright spots such as OF Harold Ramirez, SP Caleb Smith, and SP Jordan Yamamoto.

The Marlins recently resigned veteran IF Miguel Rojas and Manager Don Mattingly to another 2 years with the club. Veteran Starlin Castro will also be returning off a .270 batting average 86 RBI and career high 22 home runs. Pitching studs Alcantara, Smith, Urena and Yamamoto will all be returning to the young staff.

Plenty of young studs in the Marlin's farm system including number 1 pick OF J.J. Bleda, SP Sixto Sanchez, OF Jesus Sanchez (acquired from the Rays in 2019), SS Jazz Chisholm (acquired from the Diamondbacks in 2019), OF Monte Harrison, and OF Victor Victor Mesa. These players had made the Marlins a top 10 farm system in MLB after being near the bottom. Players like 2b Isan Diaz and OF Harold Ramirez were call ups in 2019 and contributed to the club and look to be staples in the future.

The 2020 season looks to be a better outcome than 2019, pending injuries to the club, with all the talent the Fish have compiled in the last few seasons. Maybe not a playoff run, but hovering around .500.
