Marlins Finally Return to Diamond Tonight in Baltimore


After a hot start winning 2 out of 3 in Philadelphia, the Marlins caught the bug. at least 18 players tested positive for COVID-19. The squad finally returns tonight in Baltimore facing the surprising Orioles, winners of 3 straight.

Pablo Lopez will take the mound who has a career 4.76 ERA in his first start of 2020. Lopez will face John Means coming off a rough start allowing 5 ER in only 2.1 innings.

The Marlins line-up will look drastically different with Louis Brinson and prospect Monte Harrison among the names who have been thrown around. The Marlins suffered a big loss over the weekend when prospect 2B Isan Diaz decided to opt out of the the season due to concerns with the virus. The Marlins have made a couple of moves acquiring LHP Brian Moran and RHP Mike Morin off waivers.
